Why Do I Need a Financial Coach?

When I grew up the only coaches were in High School sports, but nowadays I see coaches for mental health, wellness, organizational skills, for life in general, and for finances. Facebook is full of ads to learn how to be and find a better coach.
In the past few years I have come to seek more and more financial advice. The internet access we have to the expertise of people we have never met, has made me realize that I would love to have a Financial Coach, because just taking a video class did not give me the opportunity to share ideas, get input, and walk beside someone through my journey of getting out of debt. It felt overwhelming even after I learned how to do it.
After searching for a good Financial Coach, I found ZERO local coaches. I reached out to Dave Ramsey for advice and found out that I could become my own coach, and that if I would continue to learn, I could also coach other people. So that began my journey of learning how to get my own family out of debt as well as carry other families with me. I finally realize the importance of a Financial Coach:
The Financial Coaching community is inclusive, caring, and most of us got started because we wanted out of debt ourselves;
The cumulative years of experience is mind blowing;
It feels great to have a real person to call, email, meet, and hear realistic ideas that are tailored to MY situation;
Having a partner who genuinely cares if I get out of debt;
Someone to keep me accountable;
Someone to help me communicate with my husband, when we disagree, and to mediate while he and I come together on a plan;
To invest in my Finances without tying myself to a subscription contract;
To get feedback from someone who doesn't need to see every dollar on my budget, because they are coaching my financial behaviors, not policing my paycheck/spending;
Someone to say "it's okay, try again" when I mess up;
Someone to celebrate when I pay off a credit card -- makes me feel confident
Proverbs 15:22 says "Without deliberation, plans go wrong, but with many advisers, they succeed." Reminds me to collaborate.
If these reasons resonate with you and you would like to ask me questions about what I do and how it all works, schedule a FREE CONSULATION and let's just chat about it. I love to talk about what I do!
